Since Avant’s seventh studio album drops next week, what better way to celebrate than with one of his classic hits on this week’s Throwback Thursday!
The R&B tune, “4 Minutes,” served as his second single from his number one album, Director. On the mid-tempo track, Avant finds himself running out of time as he pleads with his lover to stay with him. Although it was not a huge hit on Billboard’s Hot 100 (#52), “4 Minutes,” found success on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Songs (#9) and Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay Chart (#8).
