It looks like fans of Syleena Johnson and Musiq Soulchild will have to wait a little longer to receive the R&B veterans’ duet album, “9INE,” which was scheduled to release on July 9.
In an exclusive interview with Rated RnB, the “R&B Diva” confirmed that the album won’t be released in July.
“It’s not coming out on July 9,” Johnson said. “Actually, we are thinking about a date around our birthdays because Musiq and I were both born in the same month, the ninth month of the year. So, we’re thinking September something.”
A couple of months ago, Johnson and Soulchild announced that they were recording “9INE,” a reggae album composed of nine tracks. The singers only had nine days to record the album, which was produced by Kemar McGregor.
Johnson also confirmed that she and Musiq are scheduled to film the video to “Feel The Fire,” the album’s lead single, in late July. The video will be directed by Victor Hogan.
