TGT (Tyrese, Ginuwine and Tank) provides an interesting performance of their single “I need” on WLNY’s The Couch.
All three powerful singers in their own respectable rights, TGT has high expectations that are inevitable. Can three powerful voices and personas mesh together to make a cohesive group? We don’t know whether it was the pressure the group may be facing or the lack of responsible actions of a group member, but TGT’s performance on The Couch could be mistaken for a clown act.
During their performance of their single from their album “Three Kings,” it was apparent that band member Ginuwine seemed a bit flustered. As Tank, on the piano, and Tyrese, on the mic, were giving their all, GInuwine failed to deliver the same.
“Sometimes you gotta laugh at yourself, own it,” tweets Ginuwine on his lack thereof of a performance. “Just to let you know though that’s never been in my life so form whatever opinion you have.”
The last part of the quote may be in reference to accusations of Ginuwine allegedly being high before the performance. With Ginuwine making awkward faces throughout the whole performance (especially at the beginning) and barely singing to the point where you could barely hear him, it wouldn’t come as a surprise.
Disappointed in his band mate’s performance Tank tweeted, “Every night I step on stage I give my all! I demand the people around me to do the same!”
