Lyfe Jennings releases his latest visual for his new single “Boomerang” directed by Latin Legend.
The karma-depiction track illustrates unfortunate situations in which innocent people get taken advantage of. This track promises that karma will come back around like a boomerang. The four minute and a half story-telling video showcases an encounter with an innocent young a girl and a guy who has the wrong intentions.
The video progresses to three years later where the now couple face verbal and almost physical abuse. The once innocent girl now sees that the guy she met three years ago isn’t who she thought he was. Fortunately, according to the song he won’t get away with it.
“Breaking a woman’s heart is like throwing a boomerang, it’ll come right back to you again,” sings the 40-year-old singer from his “Lyfe” experiences.
The video includes a funny representation or symbol of a bunny rabbit representing karma and the boomerang. You will probably never look at a bunny the same again. This track is no different from Jennings’ other tracks and teaches about “Lyfe” lessons. The album “Lucid,” which the song is lifted from, is set to be released Oct. 8.
