Rapper-turned-singer T-Pain stopped by Sway In the Morning to talk about his musical hiatus and how he plans to move forward wit his career.
After taking over the hip hop scene with his innovative R&B and autotune infusions and gracing features for numerous artists in the past five years, the Tallahassee native took a brief music hiatus.
During the interview, T-Pain (short for “Tallahassee Pain”) explained the reasons behind his break from his music career, as well as taking the time to discuss other subjects from how he is trying something different with his style to the alleged beef with Future to working with Kanye West.
The artist is currently working on his new upcoming album, “Stoicville: The Phoenix,” with the hot club tune “Up Down,” features Atlanta-based rapper B.o.B, as the project’s current single.
T-Pain did not reveal a release date for the album, but did say it will be released next year.
