Beyoncé talks about the reality of losing, explains the different components of her confident record, “Flawless,” and her message of imperfection on the album as she gives us “Imperfection,” part two of her mini art feature, “Self-Titled.”
In the video, the entertainer explains how losing felt as a child singer and why she included Ed McMahon’s Star Search introduction of Girl’s Tyme in “Flawless.”
“I feel like, something about the aggression of ‘Bow Down’ and the attitude of ‘Flawless’–the reality is, sometimes you lose,” she said.
Beyoncé went on to explain, saying, “You’re never too good to lose. You’re never too big to lose. You’re never to smart to lose. It happens, and it happens when it needs to happen and you have to embrace those things.”
She says that her message behind the album is the beauty of imperfection, and that she now strives for growth, love, happiness and fun.
