It’s been over four years since Jordin Sparks released her sophomore album “Battlefield.” Since then, her fans have been patiently waiting for a new album, which she has completed. However, Sparks seems to have some tension with her record label RCA Records regarding the release.
In a recent interview with HuffPost Live, Sparks expressed her frustration about the delay of her third studio album. “They’ve done so many amazing things for me, so I don’t want this to come off as I hate them — because I don’t,” says Sparks. “It’s just I’m a little bit frustration because I really want to put this music out for my fans — and it’s really good,” she continues.
Sparks also hinted that she may be releasing an album independently. “I think I have a really amazing door that just opened up with hopefully being able to get an album out working with a person that I really, really trust and getting it out kind of on my own,” says Sparks.
Rated RnB recently caught up with Harmony Samuels where he praised Sparks’ and shared his excitement for her album. “I really want everybody to know that Jordin Sparks’ album is going to be amazing,” he said. “I know people are sleeping on her. She’s got a big album. She’s got a great duet coming with her other half that we did. Keep an eye out for that. That’s going to be an awesome record.”
