On Tuesday (Jan. 21), Rated Next artist Jade De LaFleur showcased her artistry to the world with the releases of her debut EP “Jaded.” To build more buzz for the newly released project, the New Orleans native delivers the accompanying visuals to the bluesy track “Blue Notes and Green Trees.”
In the engaging video, the enchanting songbird dabbles into the dangerous world of narcotics as she plays the role of cook for a drug dealer. Before LaFleur ‘clocks in’ for work, she’s on the elevator being escorted by a gentlemen to her workplace. If you watch closely, she’s either replying or sending a text to her boyfriend who is played by fellow R&B artist Ro James.
Later, while LaFleur is cooking that work, a drug deal was happening in the other room. Following that, James arrives to the door with a gun to back of the gentlemen who brought his girlfriend to work. James bursts into the trap apartment and robs the bosses of LaFleur, where they flee the scene with the briefcase of money.
