Let the Grammy week festivities begin! Live at the House of Blues Sunset, Faith Evans and Diddy perform their classic 90’s hit “I’ll Be Missing You.”
Just a day short of Throwback Thursday, Evans and Diddy brought the 17-year-old “I’ll Be Missing You” track to life. Hearing the euphoric mixture of Evans’ sweet voice and Diddy’s smooth talk raps brought the crowd back to Bad Boy bliss. They rocked the stage with their renowned Bad Boy style even with the absence of song-mates 112, who were featured on the song.
The track was originally released March 9, 1997 from Puff Daddy & the family’s “No Way Out” album. With sales of over 8 million and number one spots across the charts, this track serves as one of the best selling singles ever. The single—which was dedicated to the late Notorious B.I.G.—won the 1998 Grammy Award for Best Rap Duo/Group Performance.
Faith Evans’ compilation album, “R&B Divas,” is nominated for a Grammy for Best R&B album. She competes against R&B artists such as Alicia Keys (“Girl on Fire”), John Legend (“Love in the Future”), Chrisette Michele (“Better”) and TGT (“Three Kings”).
The 56th annual Grammy awards ceremony airs on Sunday, January 26 on CBS. Check your local listings.
