Fantasia Barrino made her return to the Broadway stage last fall in the Langston Hughes-inspired production “After Midnight.”
With her hair pulled up and her attire resembling the style of the Harlem Renaissance, Tasia performed her jazzy rendition of “Sunny Side of the Street,” a song first introduced in Lew Leslie’s Broadway musical “International Revue.”
Watch Fanny sing and dance her way through a jazzy performance of “Sunny Side of the Street” below.
Barrino will be performing in “After Midnight” through February 9, 2014. The show runs 90 minutes long and you can buy tickets here.
Barrino released her fourth studio album “Side Effects of You” last year, which is nominated for the 2014 Grammy for Best Urban Contemporary Album. Her competition ranges from Tamar Braxton (“Love and War”), Mack Wilds (“New York: A Love Story”), Salaam Remi (“One: In The Chamber”) and Rihanna (“Unapologetic”).
