It’s been a while since we’ve heard from former Pretty Ricky member Marcus Cooper (previously known as Pleasure P). The R&B crooner presents a new sensual cut titled “Sex Mechanic.”
The love-making track is lifted off Cooper’s upcoming mixtape, “Break Up to Make Up,” scheduled to release on February 14. Instead of turning up, Cooper hopes to bring back feel-good love songs that can be added to our bedroom playlist. “Let’s make love this year. I’m tired of turning up,” he wrote on Instagram.
After leaving Pretty Ricky in 2007, Cooper launched his solo career. In 2009, he introduced himself as Marcus Cooper on his debut Grammy-nominated album, “The Introduction of Marcus Cooper.” The album included Cooper’s breakthrough hit “Boyfriend #2,” as well as “Did You Wrong” and “Under.”
In 2012, Cooper returned with his Tyga-assisted single “I Love Girls,” which failed to impact the Billboard charts compared to his earlier releases.
