Mary J. Blige joined the festivities of New York Fashion Week in style. On Monday (Feb. 10), the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul and her stylist and fashion guru June Ambrose sat front row at Dennis Basso’s show.
Draped in a massive fur coat and sporting her signature “hater blockers,” Blige sat in awe as she watched the models struct their thin figures in the wonderful collection of Dennis Basso.
In music news, Blige released “A Mary Christmas,” her first-holiday effort, back in October 2013. The festive album earned the “Don’t Mind” singer her first gold-selling Christmas album.
In addition, this feat scored her an NAACP Award nomination for Outstanding Female Artist. She will compete with Janelle Monáe, Beyoncé, Ledisi, and India.Arie.
The 45th Annual NAACP Awards airs on Saturday, Feb. 22, on TV One at 9 p.m. EST.
