Ashanti continues to put up a good fight for her “Braveheart” album as she releases an updated cover for the forthcoming project.
Yesterday (Feb. 4), the “Foolish” singer released her third revised artwork for “Braveheart” in conjunction with the expected release date for her fifth studio album. The singer-songwriter been recording material for the project since 2011. The album has experienced several delays, mostly due to the songbird launching her independent record label Written Entertainment.
Nevertheless, the “Foolish” singer has expressed excitement about taking control of her career. In a 2011 interview with Rap-Up Magazine, the songbird had this to say: “I’m so excited to have my own record label…The more I learned the business the more I knew this is what I wanted. Ownership is so important. As a business woman this was a great move for me.”
Ashanti’s last studio album “The Declaration” was released in 2008 and is her only album that did not reach platinum status.
Ashanti’s latest single “I Got It” featuring Rick Ross is available now on iTunes. Fans can expect “Braveheart” to hit stores and online retailers on March 4.
