Ready or not, here comes Ashanti. After revamping her entire “Braveheart” album campaign with a new track listing and cover artwork, the “Rock Wit U” singer continues to rebuild momentum with an island-flavored track titled “First Real Love.”
The Teetimus-produced cut features Beenie Man a.k.a. “King of the Dancehall.” On the reggae themed tune, the R&B veteran realizes she’s finally getting close to a special guy but notices every time they’re together, the love seems to drift away. “It’s my first real love and I don’t want to lose it now/ But every time we get so close, I feel that love will lose us both.”

Earlier this month, Ashanti released the accompanying visuals to “I Got It” featuring Rick Ross. “Braveheart” is set to arrive in stores and digital retailers on March 4 via Ashanti’s independent label Written Entertainment/eOne Entertainment.
