A vulnerable Elle Varner can’t get over her deceitful lover on her latest four-letter word inspired track, “See Me Tonight.”
“See Me Tonight” centers around the word “lies” as a heavyhearted Varner sings,”I don’t want anyone to see me tonight/ I don’t want anybody seeing me cry/ I don’t want anybody to know.”
Varner explained the meaning of her “4 Letter Word” album title to Rap-Up.“The title is open to interpretation, hence the symbols used in the campaign – ‘>$a!’ It’s whatever you feel when you experience the album. Does ‘>$a!’ stand for love? Pain? Life? That’s for the listener to decide. “4 Letter Word” has the kind of range that can’t be embodied by a single word or phrase.”
Varner plans to release four tracks ahead of her “4 Letter Word” project, due this summer, with each song focusing on a different four-letter word. With love and lies covered, fans will have to stay tuned to see which word she will tackle next.
