R&B singer Elle Varner gets personal with Essence.com discussing her spiritual beliefs, morals and lessons learned.
Before releasing her forthcoming second studio album, “4 Letter Word,” the “Refill” singer gives some conversational lush to Essence. Varner digs into her spiritual side and her personal beliefs. She admits that even though the music industry is a difficult business where it’s hard to stick to your moral guns, her musical career and spiritual life are in harmony.
“I think the music industry is a difficult business and industry, but I don’t think it’s different than any other industry really,” says the Los Angeles native. “I definitely try to separate my personal life from my life in the music industry.”
When asked the extent of her religion, she explained that she had experienced a variety of different religions throughout the course of her years. She considers herself a Christian woman, but believes that her “relationship with God doesn’t really fit into any one particular domination or religion.”
Find out what she does when she finds herself in a difficult situation, a time her faith has been tested when she feels she’s the happiest, and more in the exclusive Essence.com interview here.
