On Monday (May 5), Kelly Price stopped by CBS’ “The Couch” to promote her impending project “Sing Pray Love, Vol 1: Sing.” With her hair snatched and her clothes fitting nicely, the R&B powerhouse gets the morning show hosts pumped with her blazing new single, “It’s My Time.”
After motivating the hosts and studio crew, Price gave a brief interview where she spoke about music icon, Whitney Houston. As one of the last to see Houston alive, she calls her last encounter a “blessing” and went on to say, “God gave me an opportunity to have one last night with my really good friend.”
Once she finished giving the “I Look To You” artist her praises, the former “R&B Divas” star disclosed more information about her new album. “It kind of embodies the story of my life,” she says. “I think everything that happens in my life, I’m navigating it because of the faith that I have which is the foundation of my life. I sing through everything, I pray through everything and even when I don’t feel like loving, if I sing and I pray, I’m able to love.”
Price even spoke about her upcoming reality show “Too Fat For Fame,” which she’s been working on for over a year.
The new album “Sing Pray Love, Vol: Sing” arrives on June 3 via eOne Music.
