British soul singer Sam Smith drafts Mary J. Blige for a beautiful duet called “Stay With Me.”
Produced by Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, the piano driven ballad will appear on Smith’s new album “In The Lonely Hour,” due on June 17. A video for “Stay With Me” premiered on Monday morning (June 2) on Yahoo!
Blige shared her appreciation for being apart of the remix. “This was really fun and @samsmithworld is such a great and talent voice,” she said via Instagram. “Can’t wait to start our sessions together this summer. Get ready fam for some real new creativity. Good luck on the 17th @samsmithworld with the release of the album. Thank you for letting me be a part of such a beautiful song.”
Judging by Blige’s Instagram post, Sam Smith has been recruited to work on the R&B legend’s 12th studio album.
In related news, Mary J. Blige’s “Think Like A Man Too” soundtrack will hit stores on June 17 as well.
