Less than a month away, Marsha Ambrosius will release her highly-anticipated sophomore effort “Friends & Lovers.” Last week, the British-bred vocalist provided her “Marshians” with the official artwork and release date to the new album. As the week comes to a close, she utilizes her Instagram to unveil the tracklist for the forthcoming project.
Releasing on July 15 via RCA Records, the album will feature 15 songs. She recruits R&B legend and label-mate Charlie Wilson for “Spend All My Time” and Dr. Dre for her latest single, “Stronger,” which she recently released as an appetizer for her fans. The song is an extension of her cover of Sade’s 1988 classic “Stronger Than Pride.”
Ambrosius prematurely warns fans that “You can expect me to be a complete asshole on [the] album,” says the “Late Nights & Early Morning” artist. “Honestly and openly, the expressions of a woman, a very honest woman and I’m not taking any prisoners.”
