Marsha Ambrosius will release her “Friends and Lovers” album on July 15. While its lead single “Run” rests at No. 20 on urban AC radio, the British singer begins making more promotional rounds.
Ambrosius recently sat down with Rap-Up to share more details about her sophomore album. She said that a video would accompany every track on the album.
“I have to make a movie surrounding this album,” said Ambrosius. “Everything’s going to have a video, and everything will have a story behind it. It really is the sequel to what ‘Late Nights & Early Mornings’ was. ‘Late Nights & Early Mornings’ resulted in some Friends & Lovers.”
Ambrosius also confirmed that she has been in the studio working with Dr. Dre. “We went to Hawaii just before the end of last year for a couple of weeks and got to really cram in with the production team that he’s got going now, Focus and the squad, so we’ve been working,” she said.
