Jermaine Dupri’s “Living The Life” YouTube series gives an inside look on behind the scenes studio footage on the making of Jagged Edge’s “JE Heartbreak 2.”
Last month, it was revealed that supergroup Jagged Edge would release a sequel to their sophomore 2000 album “JE Heartbreak.” Considered their breakthrough album, “JE Heartbreak” charted No. 1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. It’s always hard to follow up a successful album due to high expectations and the added pressure it entails and Jermaine Dupri, who is producing on the album, admits that.
This week Dupri released two webisodes of “Living The Life: The Making of JE Heartbreak 2” showing himself, Bryan Michael-Cox and the four member group in the process of making the album. Practically living in the studio, JE tries to get back into the swing of things with the long, demanding hours and constant rehearsals.
NEW SONG: Jagged Edge – “Hope”
In the second webisode, the guys are recording in the studio and trying to find out their unique position in R&B as of now. JE tries to see how they can progress R&B and make a stand in the industry again through their new music and their upcoming video for their new single “Hope.” Check out the two webisodes below and see how JE plans to push the envelope with their new music.
