Jasmine V is all grown up now. The 20-year-old singer made her way to fame as Justin Bieber’s love interest in his “Baby” music video, which has over one billion views on YouTube to date. The California native joins forces with Kendrick Lamar — who is also from Cali — on her new track “That’s Me Right There.”
“That’s Me Right There,” written by Al-Sherrod Lambert, Carmen Reece and Chris Jackson, is the first taste from her forthcoming EP that is expected to release later this summer.
“I haven’t put out music for a while,” says Jasmine tells Teen Vogue. “So it’s kind of like the first look for a lot of my fans. It’s representing me, but behind the message of that is being in a relationship and being confident of your boyfriend or your girlfriend, and basically being like ‘That’s Me Right There’—I don’t gotta worry because nobody can love that guy like I can.”
