Luke James can’t seem to find the right bandage to wrap his “Exit Wounds.” After hyping fans with “Options” and “Dancing in the Dark,” the New Orleans native premieres another song from his self-titled debut album.
On “Exit Wounds,” produced by Danja and Ms. Lago, James’ fans hear the “I Want You” singer exercising his vocal abilities as he sings channels his brokenhearted feelings into emotionally charged lyrics. “I hope you know, this ain’t a heart, it’s just an exit wound that just won’t close/ My brain is guarded each time I let you through, you left a hole,” he sings.
Last week, James dropped the visual for his single “Dancing in the Dark.” In addition, he shared the official artwork and tracklist for his debut project, which is scheduled to release on September 23.
Listen to “Exit Wounds” and see if it gets you even more stoked about Luke’s forthcoming album.
