R&B veteran Toni Braxton will receive a special award for her acting contributions at the 24th Annual NAACP Theatre Awards next month.
According to All Access, the six-time Grammy Award-winning singer will be honored with the annual Spirit Award, which is given to an individual who brings energy, tenacity, innovation, commitment, talent and spirit, to the theatre scene.
In the Broadway musical “After Midnight,” with Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Braxton showed off her incredible performing skills, making her a perfect recipient of the prestigious award.
Braxton’s musical husband and “Love, Marriage & Divorce” collaborator Babyface will present her with the accolade.
The 24th Annual NAACP Theatre Awards will take place at the Saban Theatre on November 17th in Beverly Hills, California.
