Earlier today, the 2015 GRAMMY Award nominees were announced. So far, Sam Smith and Beyoncé leads the nominations for R&B/soul artists with six. Smith snags Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Stay with Me (Darkchild Version).” Meanwhile, the “XO” singer leads the R&B categories with Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance for “Drunk in Love” featuring Jay Z.
Chris Brown and Mali Music earn three nominations each. The two artists share the Best Urban Contemporary Album category for their latest projects.
Other 2015 GRAMMY nominee surprises include Luke James scoring a Best R&B Song nod for his Rick Ross assisted single “Options.” Meanwhile, Toni Braxton and Babyface receive a Best R&B Album nomination for Love, Marriage & Divorce. Mary J. Blige picks up her first Best Dance Recording nomination for “F For You” with Disclosure.

The Album of the Year nominations will be announced during the “A Very Grammy Christmas” special, which airs tonight at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
The show will air live on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 8 p.m. on CBS from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
