Award season has officially started. Following the nominee announcement for the 2015 GRAMMY Awards, the nominees for the 46th NAACP Image Awards have surfaced online.
Beyoncé leads the pack with five nominations including Outstanding Female Artist and Outstanding Song for “Pretty Hurts” from her self-titled album.
Pharrell Williams trails close behind with four nominations including Outstanding Album for G I R L. Meanwhile, Mary J. Blige receives three nods including Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration for “Being With You” with Smokey Robinson and “Stay with Me” with Sam Smith.
Other nominees include Aretha Franklin, Aloe Blacc, John Legend, Ledisi, Kem, Jill Scott, Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson, among others.
The 46th NAACP Image Awards will take place on Friday, February 6 at 9 p.m. EST on TV One.
