Shortly after revealing the album cover and tracklisting for his sixth studio effort Non-Fiction, Ne-Yo shares two brand new tracks.
The singer-songwriter’s music transcends the boundaries of just the label “R&B.” Over the years, Ne-Yo has mastered crossover music that any known genre can gravitate toward and has made quite a name for himself doing so. To satisfy both ends of the stick, Ne-Yo drops two seemingly different records “Coming With You” and “Religious” both tailored to different musical audiences.
“Coming With You,” a pop dance track, is similar to his 2012 hit record “Let Me Love You.” On the groovy record, the 32-year-old is captivated by a woman who steels the scene and he is determined to follow and go home with the eye-catching beauty. Along with the four-minute track, comes an artistic lyric video.
Catered more to his R&B hardcore fans, Ne-Yo releases a soulful track “Religious.” This song gives a reminder that the singer hasn”t forgot about R&B records and still can master an R&B hit. On the smooth record, the singer sings “hallelujah” and thanks God for being sent his true soulmate.
Ne-Yo sets a two piece buffet where you can have your pick of pop/R&B or soul/R&B. Listen to the two tracks below and choose your entrée.
