Ciara will be receiving some great exposure on television this summer. The “I Bet” singer has been announced as a cast member on NBC’s new variety show, I Can Do That.
Hosted by Marlon Wayans, the new series, based on an Israeli concept from Armoza Formats, will take celebrity cast members out of their comfort zone by putting on a new act each week.
According to Variety, the show’s stars will team up in pairs to display their new talents with the help of special guests who work in other fields, such as magicians, acrobats and stunt performers. After completing weekly challenges, one celebrity cast member will be named “the ultimate entertainer” on the season finale.
Paul Telegdy, NBC’s prexy of alternative and late-night programming believes the show will be an instant hit. “Our viewers are going to fall in love with how these natural-born entertainers push themselves outside of their comfort zones to put on a spectacular show every week.”
In addition to Ciara, others celebrities including Joe Jonas, Nicole Scherzinger, Jeff Dye, Alan Ritchson and Cheryl Burke will compete on the show.
“I Can Do That,” is slated to premiere sometime this summer.
