It’s safe to say Sevyn Streeter hasn’t forgotten where she’s came from. The talented songwriter reminisces about her road to success in her new music video “4 Street” off her On The Verge album.
In the nostalgic video, Amber Streeter takes a trip back to her hometown Haines City, Florida. During her visit, the singer/songwriter sits on the bed in her childhood bedroom and looks at old photos with her mother. Later, she visits the local corner store and enjoys great food and fellowship with her family at her former residence.
Streeter made the video truly special after she found the dress she wore as a young girl on Showtime at the Apollo.
Streeter explained the background of “4 Street” on her Instagram page. “Out of all the songs on my album it’s the one closest to my heart!” said Streeter. “Everyone has at least one person in their life that doesn’t want anything from you, they just wanna make sure you good! They’re the ones who make all the assholes we encounter irrelevant! #4thStreet is the street I was raised on, the people in the video are the ones who grew up there with me & the ones I name at the end of the song are the angels who had a hand in molding my life! #4thStreet people are just “good ass people!”
“4 Street” will appear on Streeter’s debut album On The Verge, due this year.
