K. Michelle has confirmed her third album is in the works. When a fan on Twitter demanded a live performance of “Silhouettes” at an award show, the Memphis native said, “not happening. The label has me making a whole new album.”
Tentatively scheduled to release in February 2016, K. Michelle says the untitled album will consist of a lot of “rock, soul and country.”
In her Centric TV special, BEING: K. Michelle, the songstress said her next album will be her last album. Another fan on Twitter asked her why it will be her last project. “I wanna focus on other things, like my acting, my businesses, and Family,” she replied.
K. Michelle released her sophomore album, Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart, in December 2014. It debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B chart with 87,000 units sold in one week. Her debut album, Rebellious Soul, also debuted at No. 1 on the R&B chart.
