Following his journey on Monica’s Code Red Experience Tour, Rico Love drops a new track called “Please” featuring rapper Pusha T. After ending a relationship, the producer/singer begs his former lover
“I’m just asking you to please just don’t f**k none of my n*ggas / I know that I messed up / Yeah I did you wrong / I respect the fact that you’ll be moving on but please don’t f**k none of my n*ggas,” he sings.
“Please” will appear on Love’s forthcoming album, Veronica. In an Instagram post, Love explained the meaning behind his upcoming project.
“My next project is entitled ‘Veronica’ and I’ve been quietly perfecting it,” he wrote. “This project explores SEX and the effects that it has on us. How it can make us crazy. How it can make us delusional. How it controls every part of who we are. I couldn’t just make songs about “F*cking,” because I’m way to smart for that and I have way more to offer the world than that. Who is the Veronica in your life? How did she (or he) completely change you after the first sexual encounter? ”
Veronica will serve as the follow up to Love’s debut album, Turn The Lights On, which was released last spring via Interscope Records.
