Ledisi is taking it back, way back.
The talented singer has released Nostalgia Movement No. 1, a three-track EP dedicated to a few R&B legends. On the short and sweet project, Ledisi reworks R&B classics including Patrice Rushen’s “Settle For My Love,” The Isley Brothers’ “I Once Had Your Lovin’ Baby ( And I Can’t Let Go)” and the late Natalie Cole’s “I’ve Got Love on My Mind.”
Rushen caught wind of Ledisi’s cover and praised her via Twitter. She wrote, “Thank you for covering my song. You did an impeccable job. Your voice is timeless. Keep SANGING!”
Nostalgia Movement No. 1 should hold over fans while Ledisi works on new music.
