Update: JoJo has confirmed her next album will release on October 14.
It’s been ten years since JoJo released her second album, The High Road. While she has released a few mixtapes and an EP, fans want a full-length album. It looks like the wait is almost over. The singer shared a special video on YouTube that hints at a new era of music.
The teaser shows snippets of home video footage with JoJo speaking in between clips of a new ballad. “Tell me who, who would I be without you?” she sings.
In the voice-over, she speaks on how much music means to her. “Everything starts with music for me. It’s been the most consistent thing in my life,” JoJo says.
The hint that this maybe a teaser for the much-anticipated third album comes from JoJo’s last line of the video: “It’s time.”
A lot has happened for JoJo in the past year, having suddenly lost her father to a weak heart late last year following a surprise EP, tours and a myriad of performances. After her tour, she went on to release a touching visual for her song “Save My Soul” as a tribute to her late father early January hasn’t put out any new music since.
