Frank Ocean’s comeback is proving to be strong. His sophomore album, Blonde, makes an impressive debut this week on the Billboard 200 at No. 1.
Released exclusively via Apple Music, Blonde sold 278,361 streaming equivalent albums (232,140 in pure sales.) This is Ocean’s first time scoring a number one album on this chart.
Blonde also snatched the number one spot in the U.K., according to Official Charts Company. The album sold 32,000 equivalent units.
Ocean’s first album, Channel ORANGE, debuted with 131,000 copies sold in its first week.
