R&B group Cherish is back — this time as a duo. Consisting of sisters Fallon and Felisha King, the duo has released their comeback single titled “One Time.”
Over a trap-inspired beat, Cherish tries to convince a man who is in a relationship to have a one night stand.
“I know you saying that you faithful to your girlfriend / But you’ve seen it from the moment that you walked in / Let’s try, one night (oooh) / If you could only love me one time / I know that it might hurt but baby work for one night / It won’t be the worse if you let it happen one time,” they sing.
“One Time” is the lead single from Cherish’s forthcoming album that is scheduled to release this spring.
Originally a quartet, Cherish made their debut in 2006 with smash hit “Do It To It.” The song peaked at no. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song appeared on their debut album, Unappreciated, which is certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The re-emerged in 2008 with their sophomore album, Truth. It included their Yung Joc-assisted single “Killa,” which was featured on the Step Up 2: The Streets soundtrack. “Killa” peaked at no. 39 on the Billboard Hot 100.
