Just hours after debuting “I Don’t” featuring YG, Mariah Carey shares the accompanying visual. Inspired by her recent breakup with her fiancé, the self-directed video features Carey getting rid of her wedding dress in exchange for sexy lingerie. The 47-year-old singer appears more confident than ever as she belt the lyrics to the breakup anthem on top of a Rolls Royce. Later in the video, Carey puts her past behind her by burning the wedding dress.
At this time, “I Don’t” is a standalone single that was produced by Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox. Carey recently revealed she doesn’t plan on putting out an album just yet.
“I’m going to be doing singles, because it’s more fun for me to just write singles and not focus totally on doing one whole album,” Carey said during a Q&A on Facebook. “It seems like a lot more fun to just sit down, write a single, collaborate. Hopefully, at the end of that process, there will be an album and I can give it to you guys with some new songs as well as the songs that I’ve been working on.”
