Ledisi Takes Us ‘High’ On Her New Single

Ledisi is finally back (and with a bang!) with her new single “High.”

The song finds Ledisi in a great space, as she is finally starting to feel comfortable in her new found love.

“Deep down and I’m feeling/Finally I’m winning/Finally I’m feeling real good/’Cause you’re loving deep down, working in my soul,” she sings.

Although “High” will not impact radio formats until May 23, the song is available now on all digital platforms. The new single will serve as the lead single from her yet-to-be-titled upcoming album, which is slated to release sometime this fall.

Listen to “High” below.

Stream Jon Schuyler’s New Project ‘God’s Eye’

Emerging singer Jon Schulyer has released his new project titled God’s Eye. The mellow body of work features 13 tracks with all in-house production by his production team, St. Francis.

Speaking on his project, Schuyler says, “[These are] songs or letters about exes I thought I’d be with forever, but instead they were all experiences threading together, like a God’s Eye, ultimately leading me to the one.”

God’s Eye follows Schulyer’s 2016 project, 199X.

Johnny Gill Readies ‘What Is This’ As Next Single

Let’s be honest, most album eras don’t run more than a year these days. Artists — mainly their labels — typically release three singles and a visual visuals. Johnny Gill is raising the bar, though.

The R&B vet has announced “What Is This” as his fifth single from his 2014 album, Game Changer. The record impacts urban adult contemporary radio today (Nov. 21).

The organ and drummed based track, reminiscent of Al Green’s earlier work, has Gill taking his time in the bedroom with his special lady. “Baby, let’s take our time / Girl, no need to rush, I wanna see everything / Know what I’m getting,” he coos.

Nearly three years since his Game Changer release, the “My, My, My” singer has seen urban AC radio success for four singles including its lead “Behind Closed Doors,” and his Jaheim-assisted single, “5000 Miles.”

Mila J Celebrates Birthday with ‘11.18’ EP

Mila J felt generous on her 35th birthday and gifted fans with a special five-track project, 11.18.

The EP title was inspired by her date of birth and marks her first release since April’s Dopamine release. Along with sharing the surprise announcement on Twitter, Mila hyped the project by tweeting, “Oh Yeah, it comes with a booklet and all that🐣.”

While 11.18 is only 17-minutes and does not include any guest appearances, it still packs a punch.

The five-piece collection features bangers with intriguing titles like “Low Down Dirty Shame” and “Switching Sides.”
