Lion Babe has just hit us with their groovy new track “Hit the Ceiling.”
The song serves as the latest glimpse into Lion Babe’s forthcoming as-of-now-untitled album, which is slated for release later this year. Earlier this year, the band shared their first taste of the project via the debut of “Rockets” featuring Moe Moks, which received its first look on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 program.
Lion Babe is considered one of R&B’s rising acts, and their trajectory has been nothing short of great. Since the release of their first studio project Begin last year, the duo has gone on to release a mixtape, was featured as one of BET’s Music Matters artists, and worked with multi-talented acts Pharrell Williams and Childish Gambino.
Lead singer Jillian Hervey, who is the daughter of former Miss America Vanessa Williams, was even a face of the 2016 H&M campaign and scored the cover of Essence Magazine’s January Issue. Needless to say, Hervey and producer Lucas Goodman have accomplished a lot in such a short amount of time.
