Keke Wyatt has released a new song appropriately titled “Summertime.” The Country-flavored tune —which still contains R&B elements — finds Wyatt reminiscing about the summers she spent at her grandmother’s house and all the things that made summer her favorite season.
“I’ve always labeled the music I make like a big pot of gumbo,” says Wyatt. “You’re going to get a little bit of everything. I’m a country girl and I always loved summertime in the country. Life can move so fast, and sometimes it’s good to just sit back and think about all those feel good memories that make you who you are. That’s the inspiration behind ‘Summertime’.”
“Summertime” is the first single off Wyatt’s forthcoming album, Country Fried Soul, which will release later this year. The album will follow 2016’s Rated Love, which featured her bedroom single “Sexy Song.”
