Luke James is back! The R&B vocalist has released his brand new song titled “Drip.” Produced by Dylan Wiggins, the old school R&B flavored track is James’ first single in three years.
“Feeling on your booty /But I’d rather feel your soul / Girl I know you ain’t Janet / But I like you in Control / Baby deal with your emotions / Dive into the ocean / Everything is open / You’re the one that chosen,” James sings.
At a recent listening session, James said “Drip” is a record that celebrates black women.
“Drip is very simple, very easy,” James told Vibe. “I want to celebrate women. I want to celebrate my women — black women. It’s just that time and we need more of that in the world.”
“Drip” is the first single from James’ upcoming sophomore album, JOY.
