If you thought Jessie J was the “Real Deal” before, you’re bound to take notice of her now.
The London-born singer has just released her new single “Think About That” by way of Republic Records. On this piano-driven track, the vocal stunner mixes sing-rap cadences with spoken word’s poignancy for her message of perseverance through other people’s ill-intentions and actions toward her.
“Think about that time when you said you cared/You were lying, tryna phase me /Think about that time when I got sick / And you made me go on stage / Think about that time when you used my fate/To stack up on your paper,” she sings.
Resident R&B hitmaker DJ Camper was very involved in the song’s creation, including production, co-writing it with Jessie J, and even singing background vocals. His credits include Mary J. Blige, Charlie Wilson and Ro James.
“Think About That” is the lead single from Jessie J’s upcoming fourth studio album R.O.S.E., which is her first album since 2014’s Sweet Talker.
Jessie J also announced a self-titled tour, which kicks off Oct. 8 in Birmingham, UK and finishes up on Oct. 28 in San Francisco, CA. Tickets are available now at jessiejofficial.com. For the full tour schedule, See her Instagram post below.
