Miguel will not let his music fall on deaf ears. He has premiered a new track called “Pineapple Skies” ahead of the release of his new album War & Leisure that drops on December 1.
On the optimistic track, the Wildheart singer echos the hopeful lyrics, “Everything gon’ be alright,” to his love interest.
Miguel told Billboard, “With my albums, I always try to take a picture of what’s going on in my life,” he said. “War & Leisure has political undertones, because that’s what life feels like right now. This album is intentionally about the ethos right now, that we are right in the middle of all this. We’re trying to flourish in the middle of all this.”
Already, Miguel has dropped “Told You So,” “Shockandawe,” and “Sky Walker” featuring Travis Scott. The latter track rests at No. 13 on urban radio, totaling more than 2,300 radio spins since its release.
