SiR Drops Two New Songs: ‘Something Foreign (Ft. ScHoolboy Q)’ and ‘Something New (Ft. Etta Bond)’

Top Dog Entertainment recording artist SiR teams with his labelmate ScHoolboy Q for his new single “Something Foreign.” Produced by Saxon, the laid-back tune finds SiR and Q trying to woo a beautiful woman.

“Shoulda never introduced me to the beauty in the darker side of heaven’s view / Coogi fit her booty very well / Hopefully she never kiss and tell / Hopefully we never see the sun,” SiR sings.

ScHoolboy Q shows his woman a good time before getting busy in the bedroom. “Gave you time, now give your drawers the boot / Rub the skins, I found that heaven’s true / Melt the sun and keep the moon alive / Dry the winds, and moist behind the five,” he raps.

SiR also shared a smooth joint called “Something New,” which features singer Etta Bond. SiR and Etta’s angelic vocals blend well together on the romantic track.

“And if everything else falls apartI still have you / If I can’t find my way back home / We’ll make something new / Something new,” SiR sings on the hook.

The Inglewood, Calif. native will join Miguel on his War & Leisure Tour beginning on February 22, 2018.

Listen to Grace Carter’s New Single ‘Ashes’

Emerging singer Grace Carter has released her new single called “Ashes.” The song finds Carter singing about the troubles of getting over a past relationship.

“Fighting for my survival / I can’t lay this love to rest / It’s the night when I think of you most,” she sings on the Mike Dean-produced cut.

“It’s a song about the frustration and need to get over someone but not quite having the strength to do so yet,” Carter tells Rated R&B. “Working with someone like Mike Dean who has worked on some of my favourite records was an honor.”

Earlier this year, Carter released her debut single “Silence.” The song made a lot of noise on digital platforms and has garnered over 9 million streams. It was also featured on ABC’s hit series, Grey’s Anatomy.

Carter is putting finishing touches to her debut EP that is slated to release in spring 2018.

Stream Guordan Banks’ Debut Album ‘Unpopular’

Guordan Banks has been grinding for years as a singer and a songwriter. After scoring a hit with “Keep You in Mind,” the Philadelphia native has finally released his highly-awaited debut album, Unpopular. Led by the single “I Wanna Be Yours,” which has over 1.3 million stream on Spotify, the album includes guest appearances from Sonya Elise and Tdot illdude.

In a past interview with Rated R&B, Banks shared the inspiration behind Unpopular. “It’s pretty much how, for me, I stuck to who I was. I never tried to conform or fit in or be anyone else. I just stayed true to myself and my sound,” he said. “A lot of the same people who love my music now kind of didn’t understand it then. But it’s OK because that’s how things happen. I just want to send a signal that stay true to yourself, believe in who you are, make the mirror your best friend…that’s how you really get to identify with true love within yourself. One day people will see it and you will inspire someone else to be themselves. I think that’s a short story of why I named it Unpopular.”
