Xscape Announces ‘Here For It’ EP and Releases Saucy Title Track

Following a successful reunion tour, Xscape throw haters an entire palm tree of shade on “Here For It.”

Similar to an E-40 production, the Atlanta-bred ladies — not including Kandi Burruss — get extra saucy while they remind trolls to stay in their lanes before they pull up. “You know I’ll come to wherever you are / I compare my shine to a star, not a sun,” sings LaTocha.

This track drifts FAR away from the vocally packed ballads we’re use to from the R&B veterans. Let’s just hope this song isn’t a reflection on the entire next project. Maybe they’re having fun for a minute.

Speaking of projects, Xscape will release a six-track EP titled Here For It on January 12. It will feature previously released songs “Wifed Up” and Dream Killa.”

Press play and let us know if you’re “Here For It.”

702’s Meelah Returns with New Song ‘Desert Love’

Meelah, of R&B group 702, took a short hiatus from her solo career but she’s back. The R&B vet returns with “Desert Love,” a smooth jam produced and co-written by J-Trx.

Backed by an enticing beat, Meelah finds herself all in her feelings thinking about the good times with an old lover. She wishes she could take him back but she can’t seem to get passed the errors of his ways.

Meelah was on the verge of releasing his debut album a few years ago but the stars were not aligned for her to successfully drop it. Now, with the support of her new label home, SoulStar Music Group, Meelah is ready to share her new music with the world.

“Timing is everything,” Meelah said in a statement. “Releasing a project has been a long awaited moment for me so when SoulStar Music Group approached me I was truly humbled and excited to record my debut solo album.”

“Desert Love” is just an appetizer before Meelah releases the official first single from her untitled debut album, which is set to be released on SoulStar Music Group / eOne Music later this year.
