Following the tragic news of Leah LaBelle’s death, Jermaine Dupri pays tribute to the late singer with an unreleased track she recorded called “Scumbag.”
“In loving memory of Leah Labelle, I decided to release one of the songs we did,” Dupri wrote.
On the timeless, midtempo track LaBelle realizes that her love interest isn’t the guy she thought he was.
“Thought you were the one for me / Thought that we were meant to be / And for once I ain’t have to worry / But I found out quick, fast and in a hurry / That you were just another scumbag,” she sings on the track, which was produced by Dupri.
LaBelle, 31, and her husband Rasual Butler, 38, died on Wednesday morning after getting in a car crash. The American Idol alum was formerly signed to Epic Records, where dropped two singles “Sexify” and “Lolita.”
