As the countdown continues for Toni Braxton’s new album Sex & Cigarettes, due March 23, the R&B veteran presents fans with the album cover art and track list.
With a lit cig in her left hand and covered barely in a sexy black lingerie piece, the 50-year-old songstress poses in a bathtub for the black-and-white cover.
Surprisingly, Sex & Cigarettes only consists of eight records including previously released singles “Deadwood” and “Long As I Live,” which is currently No. 17 on urban adult contemporary radio. The album will include a duet titled “My Heart” featuring Colbie Calliatt.
“Sex & Cigarettes is more about me feeling sexy, independent, and expressing my feelings,” she told ESSENCE last fall. “I think for a long time I felt I had to make certain records, but now I want to just be free! I don’t want to be censored, I just want to focus on being an artist and creating good quality music that people can relate to.”
Sex & Cigarettes is Braxton’s first solo album since Pulse in 2010.
