Some people may think of Tamar Braxton as a new artist but in reality she isn’t. In fact, the “Love & War” singer got her start as a solo singer nearly 15 years ago! This week’s Throwback Thursday song is her 2000 single “If You Don’t Wanna Love Me.”
The emotional ballad, written by Tricky Stewart and LaTocha Scott, was the second single off Braxton’s self-titled debut album. Although her album did poorly on the charts — peaked at No. 127 on the Billboard 200 — it didn’t take away from the fact that “If You Don’t Wanna Love Me” was a classic R&B song.
