Ty Dolla $ign recruits comedian Tiffany Haddish to show independent women aren’t pressed over no man in his “By Yourself (Remix)” video featuring Bryson Tiller, Jhené Aiko, and Mustard.
The video was co-directed by Dolla $ign and Alex Bittan. It begins with Haddish and her unrequited man walking down the street and snapping photos outside a car as a breakup voicemail she left plays in the backdrop.
Proving that she is strong-willed, Haddish dances off the deadweight alongside Dolla $ign against a classic lowrider. She also goes out on various dates while Aiko and Tiller perform their verses in scenes outside of an abandoned warehouse and old school car.
The original version of “By Yourself” is lifted from Dolla $ign’s most recent album Featuring Ty Dolla $ign. Released last fall, the 25-track album included the previously-shared songs “Expensive” with Nicki Minaj and “Ego Death” featuring Kanye West, FKA twigs and Skrillex.
