Emerging R&B singer JKing has released a visual for his new single “Type.”
Directed by Dash Digital, the video finds JKing performing the Brandy-inspired track in an LED room on a golden bike and a boombox. In between cuts, the stylish singer is seen on a rooftop in Downtown Atlanta.
“I’m the type of man, solid for sure / I ain’t creeping ’round, making no noise / Let my actions show, remember the score,” JKing sings on the kiss-off tune.
“Type” will appear on JKing’s debut EP, ’90s F*k It Vibes, which drops on November 19. It will include his previously shared tracks “Is You,” “Time’s Up” and “Permission.”
On November 5, JKing will join Kevin Ross on tour in Washington, D.C. for two shows. He will also play in Atlanta on November 20. See tour dates below.
JKing may be a new artist but he’s certainly no stranger to the R&B scene. The brand marketer-turned-singer has led publicity and marketing campaigns for R&B artists such as Sammie, BJ The Chicago Kid, LaTocha Scott of Xscape, Dondria and Mishon, to name a few. Outside of the genre, he worked with hip-hop trio Travis Porter, most known for their anthems “Make It Rain” and “Bring It Back.”
