On misconceptions from “Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta”
You know it’s gotta be a villain on every season. Somebody’s got to bring the ratings. Its fall on me. I take it. It is what it is. But I think people need to understand that I’m not always angry. I’m very calm. My manager always says I’m the most giving person out of any artist that he’s ever met. I will do anything for anybody.
On cleaning up image
I wouldn’t clean up if it wasn’t for the parlor tricks of the music industry. I wouldn’t give a s@#t because it’s who I am I don’t feel like people should be able to tell you where you are in the journey with God and your work. But, so that other people can be more accepting of my gift and my music. I don’t want my attitude to overshadow how amazing the music is and me as an artist.
On new boo, Lance Stephenson of the Indiana Pacers
He really makes me smile. He’s different. I think a lot of the others guys I date, they were very aggressive and very like flamboyant. He’s not like that. He’s real calm. I be acting the fool and he just stares like, “Okay.”
On being dumped on Twitter by J.R. Smith
I cracked jokes about it. I said. “Dang, Christmas coming up. You broke up with me before Christmas. You didn’t want to buy me no gift. What the heck is going on?”
